"Out of the ashes, into the mall!"
A post-apocalyptic tale of Romance, Revenge, Murder, Conspiracies, Shopping, and Beauty Pageants...
and it takes place entirely inside a “ShopMo” Wholesale Warehouse.
A psychopathic pageant queen and an aspiring young singer are shopping Black Friday sales when a global apocalyptic disaster forces shoppers to quarantine inside ShopMo. Tensions rise as inventory dwindles, until their only hope for survival (and shopping!) is to make it to the American Dream Mall…
but what is the true cost of retail therapy in a world consumed by consumerism?
BLACK FRIDAY doesn’t sound like any musical you’ve ever heard.
With synth-based music and hook-laden alt/pop songwriting, drawing on influences as wide-ranging as Depeche Mode, Lady Gaga, and Michael Jackson, all the way to Les Miserables, and Jesus Christ Superstar,
this is a new theatrical experience for adventurous audiences.
