Flashback to almost 2 years ago, I was sitting around a campfire with fellow musicians Callie Crofts & Zac Bryant. We didn’t really know each other very well at the time, but that was about to change.
We had just played a show in Moab, UT, and decided to hang out in the desert for a few extra days. Our fire had burned down to coals, and no matter where Callie sat, the smoke seemed to follow her. “It’s all smoke and no fire!” she exclaimed.
I responded with, “That’s a song, and we’re gonna write it.”
“All Smoke, No Fire” turned out to be one of my absolute favorite songs off of my new album Slow The Devil, and though on the surface it about boys we were mad at, there’s a deeper meaning hidden in the lyrics...
Hope you dig the song & video, and please leave a comment to let me know what you think, and feel free to share with your friends!
