Warrior
“Just watch, one day I’ll grow wings”
Our journey is over, and in many ways, we are right back where we started, but different. We are not the same.
Together we have become wiser, stronger, happier.
Today, we celebrate! Tomorrow, who knows where our dreams will take us?
So…. who’s ready for another adventure?
Behind The SCENES...
“Flying Machine” was the first song I wrote on my desert songwriting sabbatical, in which I stayed in the remote Southern Utah desert for a week with no phone, no internet or cell service, and only a ukulele and a battery-powered keyboard.
I learned to play the ukulele in order to write happy songs. The piano tends to lend itself to dramatic ballads…
This song is featured in the Tyler Perry movie “Nobody’s Fool” starring Tiffany Haddish and Whoopi Goldberg.

What is your greatest dream?
When the fire in the sky
Starts its journey sinking
And the blue fades
While the red waves
reach further
When the mountains keep
The sun from the water drinking
And the last light dies
In the eyes of the warrior
She sings hey
I’m walking all the way
And I won’t come home
‘Til I find my own way
When the fox and the owl
And the firefly awaken
And the moon paints shadows
Against the darkened earth
When the mirrored lake
Reflects the constellations
As they wash away
The wounds of the warrior
She sings hey
I’m walking all the way
And I won’t come home
‘Til I find my own way
When the first of the light
Ignites the whole horizon
And the stars against the blue
Begin to blur
And the roots and the rocks
And the dust of the road start rising
Up to meet
The feet of the warrior
She sings hey
I’m running all the way
And I won’t come home
I won’t come home
Hey
I’m running all the way
And I won’t come home
I won’t come home
Hey
I’m running all the way
And I won’t come home
‘Til I find my own way
No I won’t come home
‘Til I find my own way
