Battles have been fought and won, and yet darkness remains.
Finally, I understand that this darkness is part of who I am, it’s part of the world, and I’m learning to embrace my darker self, to find balance. Darkness does not stifle my vibrancy or color my existence, and it will never again deplete my happiness.
Darkness and Light co-exist; for you cannot have one without the other.
It is only in darkness that you can see the stars.

I’ve battled frequent anxiety and occasional depression, and I wrote “Into The Stars” for a loved one who was fighting a familiar battle. She still doesn’t know this song is for her.
